Weed seed recognition

The lab can carry out training courses to improve your staff's knowledge concerning weed seeds. Training coruses are made up of a theoretical part and a practical part.

The theoretical part covers all key points of seed recognition, including how to discern the different shapes, ornamentations, identify specific features and other specificities of seeds. It is based on an approach by family :

  • Apiaceae (Umbelliferae)
  • Asteraceae (Compositae)
  • Brassicaceae (Cruciferae)
  • Fabaceae (Legumes)
  • Poaceae (Grasses)
  • Polygonaceae

The second part, focused on practical exercises, allows trainees to test their knowledge through : The practical part of the course combines individual work and group exercises.

During this second phase, the trainees use the the same equipment as the lab staff use for routine analysis.

The course can be adapted to the level of the trainees, who may already have some prior knowledge or the need to work in more detail on a specific family. These courses can be provided on site or can be carried out directly at our customers’ premises.
