The analysis of Thousand Seed Weight (PMG) or Thousand Seed Mass (MMS) aims to determine the average mass of 1000 seeds in the sample.
Depending on the species studied, these analyses can be carried out through a manually counting of replicates of 100 seeds or with the aid of mechanical counters on a sample of approximately 2,500 seeds.
